IV. Evaluation specification


This section specifies in detail evaluation indicators for each of the project objectives described in Chapter II.


Objective 1 To set up the project management structure

Baseline
• No management structure in place

Objective 2 To develop guidelines on the psychodrama use in adult education

• Previous partners' work and experiences in the field of adult education and psychodrama

• 2 experts in charge of the methodology development
• Observations of concrete techniques and scenarios during pilot workshops
• Research into the psychodrama applications in adult education

Outputs
• Research findings on psychodrama use in teaching adults in the European context
• Guidelines for educators on application of psychodrama techniques in AE

• Trainers equipped with new tools to teach key competences in lifelong learning
• Improved qualifications of teaching staff working with vulnerable social groups
• New course opportunities in adult education establishments
• Percentage of favourable opinions of respondents on the validity of the methodology in courses for adult students (at least 70% respondents)

• Evaluation questionnaires completed by the pilot workshops and Grundtvig seminar participants
• Evaluation questionnaires completed by adult students in courses run by the pilot workshop participants
• Reports by experts responsible for the methodology development

Objective 3 To organise pilot psychodrama workshops for adult educators

Baseline
• No workshops in place

Inputs
• 1 psychodramatist engaged for each workshop
• 1 monitoring expert (adult educator) engaged for each workshop
• Training materials for participants

Outputs
• Beneficiaries receive training (90 hours for each workshop)
• Set of tested psychodrama techniques valid in the context of adult education

Impact
• Practical acquaintance with the psychodrama techniques on the part of the workshop participants
• Informed use of these techniques in their own courses
• Percentage of favourable opinions of workshop participants (at least 70% of respondents)

Target level to be achieved/ date of delivery
• 12 – 15 trainers in each of 4 workshops (70% completing the courses)
• Observations and materials (text, video) gathered for the project publications
• Workshop programme to be completed by III 2010

Evaluation basis
• Course enrolment/registration forms and entry questionnaires specifying the level at start in terms of the beneficiaries' acquaintance with psychodrama and their expectations in reference to the training
• Evaluation questionnaires completed by workshop participants at the end of courses
• Observations written down by the workshop monitoring experts
• Number of course certificates issued confirming the workshop programme completion

Objective 4 To publish a handbook accompanied by a documentary film on psychodrama techniques in adult education

Baseline
• Previous publications by partners

Inputs
• 1 editor of the handbook, 4 translators
• Camera crew filming the workshops
• Developed guidelines on the psychodrama use in adult education
• Observations written down by the workshop monitoring experts
• Workshop scenarios, photos and videos from workshops
• Commissioned graphic design

Outputs
• Handbook for educators: an outline of psychodrama applied in AE, description of a chosen set of scenarios and techniques
• Documentary film: insight into some of the above techniques in workshops run in 4 countries

Impact
• Functional, practical examples of tested psychodrama techniques available to a large audience of AE educators
• Percentage of favourable opinions of the questionnaire respondents (at least 70%)

Target level to be achieved/ date of delivery
• Handbook, around 80 pages, edition of 3000 copies, 5 languages, V 2010
• DVD, edition of 3000 copies, (+ on-line version), 4 national languages + subtitles in English, V 2010

Evaluation basis
• Evaluation questionnaires completed by the workshop participants and Grundvig seminar participants
• Feedback secured from a larger community of AE through the website/email
• External evaluation commissioned

Objective 5 To organise Grundtvig seminar on the psychodrama applications in adult education

Baseline
• No seminar in place
• Previous experience in recruitment and teaching Grundtvig courses

Inputs
• All partners engaged in recruiting participants
• Promotional materials
• Materials for participants

Outputs
• 4-day seminar on the use of psychodrama in adult education
o papers by psychodramatists and educators

o visit at a place of cultural heritage

• Raised awareness of the psychodrama techniques among adult educators
• Feedback from practitioners on the POTENS methodology
• Percentage of favourable opinions of the participants on the validity of the seminar for AE provision (at least 70% of respondents)

Target level to be achieved/ date of delivery
• 15 – 20 professionals from at least 5 EU countries
• To be organised in Kraków in VI 2010

Evaluation basis
• Evaluation questionnaires completed by participants
• Papers presented at the conference
• Minutes from panel discussions


Objective 6 To disseminate the project results among European educators and psychodramatists

Baseline
• No dissemination activities in place

Inputs
• Financial and human resources according to approved budget
• Project poster/ leaflet
• Division and schedule of tasks specified in the Dissemination Plan

Outputs
• Project website with both information and promotional sections + relevant sections on partner's websites
• Articles in professional journals and magazines
• Presentations at conferences and seminars

Impact
• Raised awareness of the POTENS methodology among adult educators and psychodramatists
• Communication channels established between psychodramatists and adult educators

Target level to be achieved/ date of delivery
• Project website: at least 1000 visitors, operating throughout the project and beyond; 4 national sections on the partners' websites
• Number of articles published: at least 5, VIII 2009 – IX 2010
• Number of conferences/seminars attended with the information on the POTENS project communicated to their audience: at least 6, VIII 2009 – IX 2010

Evaluation basis
• Feedback from interested parties documented in website statistics, email and phone enquiries
• Interest in the project publications (nr of copies distributed)

Objective 7 To exploit the project results in the long term

Baseline
• No results in place to be exploited

Inputs
• Financial and human resources according to approved budget
• Division and schedule of tasks specified in the Plan of the Exploitation of Results

Outputs
• Developed and tested psychodrama techniques used by trainers in organisations other than the partnership during the project lifetime and after its completion
• All partners implement the project results beyond the period of the EU funding

Impact
• Awareness of the psychodrama potential among trainers and stakeholders in adult education
• Percentage of favourable opinions of trainers using the methodology and techniques outside the partnership and their adult students (at least 70% of respondents)

Target level to be achieved/ date of delivery
• Pilot applications of the developed methodology and techniques in courses run in external organisations by the trained educators: at least 10 participants x 5 trainers in external organisations x 4 countries = 200 adult students during the lifetime of the project
• Courses taught in national languages in 4 countries from XI 09 - IX 10

Evaluation basis
• Feedback from trainers applying the methodology in their courses, interviews with educational authorities in the countries of the partnership
